Drain and condensate separators
The automatic condensate drain – the BEKOMAT – allows for lossless removal of condensate at any required point in the compressed air system.
From the compressor to the tank and filtration system on the dryers, condensate is a key aspect of the proper functioning of the entire compressed air system and all compressed air-powered equipment.
Once removed from the system, the condensate needs to be cleaned. It contains all impurities sucked in by the compressor (dusts, aerosols) and oil pollution which together form a harmful and environmentally hazardous mixture. The condensate is cleaned before it is discharged into the sewerage system by a condensate separator – Owamat. If the condensate forms an emulsion (which occurs when synthetic oils are used), the standard OWAMAT separator may not be sufficient. In this case, a special emulsion separator – BEKOSPLIT – will be the solution. It separates the emulsion into hazardous substances and the condensate, which can be safely discharged into the sewerage system.

OWAMAT and BEKOSPLIT condensate separators
Selection of suitable condensate separators (OWAMAT and BEKOSPLIT) after consultation with the customer.
ATTENTION – please note that when using synthetic oil (PAO, Ester) in a compressor, the capacity of a standard OWAMAT type condensate separator can be significantly reduced – by up to 40% – due to the formation of an emulsion that is not retained on this type of separator. Therefore, the condensate (emulsion) treated on the OWAMAT type separator must not be drained into the sewage system. For emulsions, a special BEKOSPLIT separator must be used.
