Cartridge filter housings are used to clean both gases (air, nitrogen, steam and others) and liquids. Due to their high efficiency and wide availability, they are very popular in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. Cartridge filter consist of a filter housing and replaceable cartridges. The mechanism of operation usually consists of the flow of liquid or gas from the outside to the inside of the filter cartridge and the impurities trapped by the filter are deposited on its external surface. Due to the number of cartridges installed in the filter, single and multicartridge filters are distinguished. Cartridge filters are replaceable elements, otherwise known as absolute filters, nominal filters, polypropylene cartridges, polypropylene filters, depth filters.
