Bag filtration is widely used in industry due to its small size and high filter capacity. A bag filter for liquids is a very economical way to separate suspended solids, which makes it popular in many industries. It is particularly often used for the cleaning of paints, varnishes, resins, as well as viscous liquids such as edible and industrial oils. Bag filters for liquids are characterized by high efficiency and low investment and operating costs, especially for slightly contaminated suspensions.
Filter bags made of filter felt are characterized by a depth filtration mechanism (which allows removal of gel type contamination) and are used in processes requiring efficiency from 1 µm to 100 µm. Filter bags made of filter fabric with an accuracy of 5 µm to 1,200 µm are most often used for more coarse filtration. On the other hand, depending on the application, the mesh bags (nylon) can be regenerated to some extent (washed). Felt bags (polypropylene) are usually disposable.

In case of filtration of large quantities of liquids, multibag filter housings are used. The number of bags in one casing can be up to several dozen pieces. Placing many bags in one housing shortens the time of their replacement and saves space.
In the situation when bags do not provide sufficient quality – filtration accuracy – when we want to improve the quality of filtration without changing the filtration casing – special pleated, absolute acrtridge – type Marksman are the solution. They can be used interchangeably for filter bags in size 1 and 2.
Nutsche filter is a simple filtration device consisting of a body and filtration element, which is a perforated plate and a filter fabric insert mounted on it.The construction and functionality of the filtering unit can be modified by attaching more chambers and plates with different filtration accuracy. This device enables filtration of both gases and liquids. The process medium is pressed through the filtration fabric, thus retaining contaminants on its surface. This is an economical filtration method. Due to its small size, the filtering fluid is a good solution when working in a laboratory or research institution, for various types of tests or trials using filtration.
